Rare Voices Australia Accessibility Statement (Revised September 2023)

Rare Voices Australia (RVA) strives to ensure information is as accessible as possible. We understand people have varying levels of health and technology literacy, and accessibility needs. We acknowledge some people may also face language barriers when trying to access information. RVA is investing resources into ensuring our websites are easier to use and more accessible for all people. We strongly believe website accessibility efforts assist everyone.

In our efforts to make our websites as accessible as possible, RVA’s team has participated in dedicated training from the Centre for Accessibility Australia and implements accessibility-friendly features wherever possible, including enabling captions on videos; adding alt text for images; and formatting headings on articles.
RVA also makes UserWay’s Web Accessibility Widget available. The widget is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows www.education.rarevoices.org.au to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
